Michael Dubb, President of The Beechwood Organization and developer of Meadowbrook Pointe, was pleased to host the Toys for Tots event again this year. “Last year was a big success, this year even more so. The Meadowbrook Pointe homeowners are very generous,” said Mr. Dubb.
At the event, Board Members from the Meadowbrook Pointe Homeowners Association also presented a check for $3,020 to the Interfaith Nutrition Network. This check represented the proceeds from their November 2009 “Taste of the Good Life” fundraising event that featured food tastings by local restaurants including Capers Caterers, Galleria Ristorante Dominick, Garden Gourmet, Boccaccio Ristorante, Pappagallo’s and Mario’s Pizza. Other local restaurants included Gyro-Licious, Luzzo’s and Prima Donna Caterers. Desserts were provided by Sweet Karma Desserts and The Cookie Factory.

In 2008, Marines and volunteers distributed 16.2 million toys to 7.6 million children – one of the best years in the history of the program. The group estimates that there are more than 13 million children living in poverty in the United States who are in need of toys during the Holidays.
